It is no secret that Pio has a love affair with all forms of art. He knew early on that production design, in particular, would grow to be his biggest passion. Born and raised in the Philippines, now a Doha-based Events and Wedding Designer. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Production Design at De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, It was there that he received formal training in courses such as Scenic Design, Costume Design, Video Production, Cinematography, Advertising, Props Making and Stage Effects. He directed his focus and followed his passion into the production and design industry. After receiving his degree in Production Design, he began his career as a Production Designer for events and has been tapped to work with well-known artists, companies, and institutions for such important projects. Advertising credits include production design work for commercials such as Ariel, Lactaderm, SONY Philippines and PS Bank.

Pio has also done special effects for VIVA Film’s Super B; ABS-CBN’s soap opera Bituin and GMA 7’s Kakaba-Kaba for Television. From the onset of the creative process through the final touches of seamless installations, he is dedicated to his clients through out the entire scope of the project, large or small.  His graphic design credits include JD On Stage for Jack Daniels Philippines, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2006 (KCA 2006) for Nickelodeon Philippines,Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Muzikal for Tanghalang Pilipino to name a few. In Doha, he recently joined Red Bulls’ 2017 Helmet Design Competition for Racer Nazer Al Attiyah where he landed one of the Top 10 Finalists.

He has also designed stage/sets for events for companies like Bank of The PhilippineIslands (BPI), AYALA, Philippine Tatler, AVON, SAMSUNG, De La Salle Alumni Association (DLSAA),DLS-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB),ABSOLUT Vodka and Manual Magazine. He also did one of 2015’s biggest summer event in Manila which is Make Your Own Havaianas 2015 for Havaianas. Pio also joined Neverland Manila‘s Stage Design Competition in 2016, where he won First Runner Up.

The great pride he takes in his passion for design is one of the main ingredients for his success. His ability to translate something conventional into an aesthetically appealing design that radically departs from the expected is what sets him apart as a designer. He believes that when you love what you do, it shows and that you have the responsibility to produce the best work possible; creative, original and innovative.

He is also an award winning film maker, having won inthe “Ika-16 Gawad CCP para saAlternatibong Pelikula at Bidyo” (16thCCP Awards for Alternative Video) from the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 2003 for his entry In “TheTwilight” a short film based on N.V.M Gonzales’ “In The Twilight” and “MgaTao sa Likod ng Dilim” a documentary about the special effects makeupartist in the Philippines. He also did Production Design for an Independent sci-fimovie entitled Xenoa under OXION Entertainment Productions.

Pio developed his ability to work with people, translating each person’s “story” into a workable idea for a design concept. With clients across the Philippines and in the Middle East, Pio brings that same artistry and gift for storytelling into each and every events and weddings he designs. He also used his many talents, which include Event Management/Production and Event Design, Creative/Art Direction, Scenic Design, Costume Design and Coordination, Graphic Design, Photography,Videography and General Production and Concept Design to bring ideas to reality.

Inspired by travel, art, fashion and film, he balances both visual and textural imprints that layer together to create luxurious events  and unforgettable weddings for his clients. He now resides in Doha, Qatar and works as a Stage /Production Designer for Weddings and Events.

Pio just recently finished his Executive Education in Business and Public Event Management which he took last September in Doha, Qatar under the international event management educator Dr. Rob Harris and Meg Higgins which are both from Event Training Australia.
